The Translator's Tale
1963. An academic’s marriage falls apart because of his narrow and obsessive behaviour. In the hope of being miraculously cured of his naive and concrete thinking he undertakes a journey to Galicia, the Spanish cradle of magical realism. He is accompanied by his daughter who relates their comical progress and deals most effectively with the predations of an unexpected and unwelcome girlfriend.
